18TH BANBURY BEER AND CIDER FESTIVAL, Army Reserve Centre, Oxford Road, Banbury, OX16 9AN (10 min from town centre and Banbury Rail Stn, or take B1 bus from Bridge St.
Open: Thursday 5-11pm: Fri 12-11pm; Sat 11am-11pm. Over 100 real ales/ciders. Real ales focus on the East Midlands region plus selection of locales and around UK, with specials inc. 20 new beers. The festival features a selection of porters including those from CBOB Regional Finals Porters category and supports CAMRA Mild month in May - a Mild Trail is available with opportunity to get a free mild. Cider & Perry range inc. national, East Midlands and local producers.
Entry: CAMRA members FREE at all times. Non-members: Thurs £2: Fri till 5pm £2; Fri after 5pm £4; Sat till 5pm £3; Sat after 5pm £1. Includes fest glass and prog with beer/cider lists. Glasses w/third/half/pint lines. Beer/cider tokens for purchase. Under 18s free, but must be accompanied by an adult. Special promotions for anyone joining CAMRA during the festival.
Hot & cold food available all sessions. Meet the Brewer session. Popular cheese and beer matching/tasting sessions on Fri/Sat. Live entertainment: Thurs eve: Bushfield Smith; Sat pm: Adderbury Morris Dancers; Sat eve: Pete Watkins. The dray from Hook Norton Brewery normally appears during Saturday.
