Black Iron is a modern restaurant, steakhouse and bar, celebrating the very best of British. Tucked away in leafy parkland at Winstanley House, an imposing Georgian grade II listed hotel and venue, Black Iron prides itself on our amazing team, great food and drink and faultless surroundings.
The centrepiece of Black Iron is our charcoal-fired oven, which treats the premium produce on offer with the first-class cooking method it deserves. Our locally sourced dishes harken back to the way food used to be prepared; cooking over fire is a primitive technique that lets our top-quality ingredients speak for themselves.
The team at Black Iron are so passionate about serving great food and drink, that they have personally visited the farms, vineyards and breweries whose end products make up our menus, with the aim of bringing together the best of the best to Leicestershire. We believe in sourcing and producing our meat the responsible way, and have handpicked the best cuts on offer. All our meat is sourced locally from Onley Grounds Farm, Rugby, whose three-generation strong passion for their livestock is apparent in every mouthful.
Our bar has an extensive beer and wine list, with over 160 wines to discover from our wine cellar. Highlights include our Malbec and French classics menus, and some award-winning English wines. With over 20 beers available, including our locally brewed Black Iron Lager and a tempting gin and cocktail list, all palates and appreciations are taken care of.
