About this Event
Held in the lush, green Purbeck countryside on the outskirts of Swanage in Dorset, the third Wilkswood Reggae Festival will take place from Friday July 20th to Sunday July 22nd 2018.
This year’s festival features some heavyweight headliners: Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Mad Professor, General Levy, Joe Ariwa, Carroll Thompson, Earl Sixteen and the Uppercut Band will all play the main stage during the weekend. The full schedule is due to be announced but other confirmed acts include Mikey General, Chainska Brassica, Dubheart, Don Fe, Prince Jamo, Hytal Bosrah, Scientist Sound, Kindread, Blackout JA, Gaz Mayall and Mr Mighty.
This year sees reggae legends, pioneers and flag bearers from the UK and abroad perform across three stages. Acts confirmed so far are a Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & Mad Professor double header, General Levy & Joe Ariwa, Earl Sixteen & Carroll Thompson, Mikey General, Chainska Brassika, Dubheart, Don Fe, Prince Jamo and Gaz Mayall’s Rockin’ Blues. There are additional performance and soundsystem stages, street food stalls (including the famous Jerkshak Caribbean cuisine and a wood-fired pizza van) and bars serving ice cold Red Stripe, craft ales, local cider and rum cocktails!
